Endhiran the most expensive film in the history of indian cinema is set to release at the end of this month and the release fever has hit the audiences all over the world.

The theatrical trailor was released in a function held in chennai at Satyam Cinemas by Superstar rajinikanth and is now shown in theatres all over the world.

The Trailor is superb and ingnites us to watch the Movie on the very first day.

After shooting in some of the exotic locales across the globe, the makers of Endhiran had decided to can a few scenes at the Perungudi dumping yard in Chennai.

Superstar Rajini's Stunts

The Endhiran team, in the recent months, was spotted in several locations in and around Chennai but the dumping yard has raised many an eyebrow.

Enquiries reveal that the scenes involving the superstar were not shot in the Perungudi dumping yard. It was mainly the film’s villain and other actors, who camped in the spot for five days to complete some scenes.

Endhiran’s stunt sequences are going to be world class as a Chinese stunt master is the stunt co-ordinator. Some of stunt sequences are being shot with the help of Alex Martin.

Endhiran is a big budget film that has Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai playing the lead roles. The movie is directed by Shankar and produced by Sun Pictures.

Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai made a rare appearance at an audio launch here and took many by surprise when she broke into fluent Tamil.

It wasn’t just any audio launch but that of Tamil film Rettaichuzhi produced by Shankar, who is directing her opposite superstar Rajnikanth in Endhiran: The Robot.

Draped in a white sari, Aishwarya was at her courteous best at Sathyam Cinemas Monday evening as she got up to greet veteran directors K. Balachander and Bharathiraaja who play pivotal roles in the film.

Shankar said it was great to have Aishwarya as she hardly attended audio launches. He recalled that the former beauty queen wasn’t present for the launch of his Jeans, one of her first hit films.

“When we explained to her the significance of Rettaichuzhi and the cast of the film, she immediately agreed. It’s not just her beauty but her commitment towards her profession, which has made her a great actress,” Shankar said.

The audio cassettes and CDs of Rettaichuzhi were released by Aishwarya and accepted by noted lyricist Vairamuthu, who once described her as a “Taj Mahal weighing 50 kilograms” in one of his lyrics for the film Jeans.

Aishwarya said she was proud to be part of the Tamil film fraternity and took many by surprise when she spoke in fluent Tamil and later switched backed to English.

“It’s an honour for me to have been present at this place among legends like Balachander and Bharathiraaja and I feel proud about it. I also feel happy that a woman is treated so respectfully at a public function like this,” she said.

“I can never forget the Tamil film industry and director Shankar in my life. Shankar’s Jeans was my first successful film. The many things I learnt during the making of the film gave me enough self-confidence that I could continue to act for a few more years.

“I feel even more proud to be part of Shankar’s Endhiran opposite superstar Rajnikanth…I watched a few songs and some sequences from Rettaichuzhi..rettaichuzhi audio release, .I think Karthick Raaja’s music and tunes are excellent. I would surely watch the film in future,” Aishwarya added.

Shooting for the RajiniKanth starrer Endhiran led to a traffic chaos opened the eyes of the Chennai suburban police commissioner, which has now decided not to permit shooting for films on main roads and other national highways during day time.

The shooting for Endhiran, produced by media baron Sun Pictures and directed by Shankar, started early on Sunday near GST road which links the city and GST Road. Unexpectedly, the shooting had to continue till 11AM which  caused a traffic chaos on the flyover. Superstar was present at the shooting spot for more than 4hours. The crew was filming a scene where a group of police with heavy guns chasing the actor.

According to the current procedure, the film producer should get permission from the Directorate of Information and Public relations to shoot a film at a public place. After getting the permission from DIPR, the filmmakers have to get the permission from the police department.

Unfortunately, we have no timing regulations on film shooting like cities have. But we have now decided not to allow any  shooting on busy roads during daytime. As in the city, we will give permission for shooting only from 11 pm to 6 am,” a senior police official said.
