Superstar Rajinikanth after the huge success of Endhiran is getting ready for his next movie Raana.  This time it is K.S.Ravikumar who is going to direct the superstar.

Rajinikanth is doing three roles in the movie and the movie will be a great treat, as superstar previous two movies Muthu and Padaiyappa with K.S.Ravikumar were huge hits.

Deepika Padukone will be the female lead in Hindi Version while Anushka in the tamil and Telugu Versions.

A.R.Rahman will the Music Director, Rathnavelu who was cameraman in Endhiran will the cameraman for this film also

Endhiran, the biggest blockbuster of Superstar Rajinikanth got released last friday. The film had a very big opening for fans all over the world.

In Satyam cinemas, Chennai, a premiere show was organized for film personalities and dignitaries.

Tamilnadu chief minister and Dravida munnetra kalakam president Kalaignar Dr Muthuvel Karunanidhi watched “Endhiran” in a special show arranged for him and his family members at the satyam cinemas today morning at 5am.

He was welcomed by superstar rajinikanth and other members of the crew which worked in the film and chief minister seems to have thoroughly enjoyed the movie and lauded each and every one who worked in the movie

The below is an interesting calculation by a Canada based FM radio on Robot (Endhiran) Box office prediction. I guess, If we put realistic numbers for the Tamil & Telugu 1700 prints as the first week booking is going to be full, then calculation will be,,,, OMG,,,, it will be a never broken record….over Rs. 500 crore in a week?????

Endhiran is the costliest Indian movie ever made. Even the Hindi super stars never made a movie to this cost.

It is heard that the total cost can be between Rs. 160 crore to Rs. 200 crore Indian Rupees as the promo expenses are not over yet. Rajinikanth’s salary also depends on the profit, as his final salary number is decided by the profit of the movie (His salary is expected to be around Rs. 45 crore).

The main question is “Would this be a profitable movie or going to be another flop like Baba?” All Rajini fans would see it but would that save it from flop?

Sun pictures have less worry about south, mainly Andhra and Tamilnadu. For north, Sun has ensured no big competition at Robot release time in Hindi. Ranbir’s Anjaana Anjaani will be no direct threat as released on Sept 24th (update: It is postponed to Oct 1st now due to Ayodhya verdict) and Salman’s already super hit Dabanng will be in 4th week on Oct 1. This will help to avoid audience split. Still, one more fear is there. Ayodhya Babar-Masjid verdict is given on Sept 24th. How is the verdict going to be and how people are going to take it will have some effect on cinema goers and promotions on following week?

Here is a quick interesting calculation that must have gone through Kalanithi Maran’s mind when he signs all the cheques.

2250 prints are made for theatres all over the world, according to Sun pictures. Some theatres use same print in two halls in a difference of 30 minutes.

There will be 4 shows per day for at least first 3 days (Fri, Sat, Sun). We know that many theatres in Tamilnadu will have 5 or 6 shows per day from early morning.

Average number of seats can be 500. Most of the Indian cinema halls are with over 800 seats while very few halls are with 400 seats.

Ticket price for first week in India varies from Rs. 100 to Rs. 500. Overseas ticket price are fixed but money conversion will bring it to Rs. 400 to Rs. 600.

If we pick all conservative numbers and multiply……..
2250 prints x 4 shows x 500 seats x Rs. 150 = 67,50,00,000 = Rs. 67.5 crore per day.

Rs. 67.5 crore x 3 days = Rs. 202.5 Crore.

By looking at this conservative calculation, Sun will recover the cost in just in 3 days. There is no way Sun pictures would have to worry about the money that has been invested. There can be loss and gain with distributors and Theatre owners depending on the deals. Overall, all the numbers show that Endhiran can make a record breaking collection in the history of Indian cinema. It is only less than two weeks to confirm it.

Endhrian, the Superstar starrer movie that is released this week has created a lot of records in the industry though the official collection records are yet to be released.

The superstar fans celebrated the endhiran release by pouring milk over the posters and banners and created a lot of fanfare. They even danced before the screens which is common in superstar’s films.

Endhiran, the much awaiting movie of the year is scheduled to be released Friday  in three languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi all over the world. Though Sun Pictures announced pre-booking from last week, may malls didn’t start booking.

Endhiran  Ticket Booking started in Fame Cinemas today morning. There are 4 shows on the first day, with First show starting at 11.15AM. Tickets are priced at a flat rate of Rs.400.

The wait for the much awaited movie of year is  getting over. After many ifs and buts, Sun Pictures today officially announced that Superstar Rajinikanth starrer Endhiran will hit the screeens on October 1.

In a statement, the production wing of Sun TV Network has confirmed that the mega movie directed by Shankar will see the light of the day on October 1 in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi all over the world.

It may be recalled that Endhiran was censored and was given a U certificate a couple of days ago. With big names like A R Rahman, Shankar, Rathnavelu coming together, hype and expectations are high on this mega-budget movie.

The theatrical trailor was released in a function held in chennai at Satyam Cinemas by Superstar rajinikanth and is now shown in theatres all over the world.

A new record has been set yet again by the new Rajinikanth movie Endhiran which has already generated insane amounts of revenue and created the opportunity for quite a few fraud cases. The new film from Sun Pictures is going to set a new record, and this would be the most expensive movie ever made in India. And so, yet another record has been set by them in places like Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

The film rights of Endhiran have finally been sold in both Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, according to the rumors. And the sum is a staggering 33 Crores in Andhra Pradesh and 9.75 Crores in Karnataka. This has virtually broken all records of a Tamil movie sell price, and has set a new record. The Telegu version of the movie has gone up to a huge sum of money and for the film rights of a movie which has been dubbed this is possibly the highest amount of money for which it has been sold.
The film is going to be released in three different languages Tamil, Telegu and Hindi, and it would be launched in September.

Endhiran whose audio release has happened last month is gearing up for release as its post production work  are going on in full swing . Trade sources have indicated that Sun Pictures magnum opus Endhiran is gearing up for a September 24 opening worldwide.

Earlier, the trade was talking about Sep 10, as it is a fantastic weekend with two public holidays Ramzan and Vinayaka Chathurthi.

But now it looks like the film will take time as AR Rahman is on a world tour and the re-recording has to squeeze in with his tight itinerary.

It looks like Sep 24 will be the release date, as the technical crew working on the film will have a deadline to keep.

Endhiran marketing and sales will also start soon, and the trade feels the release date is a clear six weeks before Diwali (November 5).

This will enable the film which will get a solo release to sweep the market, as there will not be any opposition till Diwali.
